Father...

Father can you teach me to walk,
Father can you teach me to talk,
Father can you teach me to tie my shoes,
Father can you teach me not to abuse,
Father can you teach me to fly a kite,
Father can you teach me to ride a bike,
Father can you teach me to be strong and wise,
Father can you teach me what you know of life,
Father can you teach me to be faithful,
Father can you teach me how to raise a son,
Father can you do these things I ask, if so...
Why weren't they done?

The following poem is dedicated to the
memories of my grandmothers
who passed away within 2 months
of each other in 1996.

Forever Life

Do not be sad,
for I am not gone
Do not miss me,
for I am still here
Do not be scared,
for I will always protect you
My body is no more,
for I still exist
Be happy for me,
for I have moved on
Believe my last words,
for we will be together again soon!

Life N' Death

Many nights have I went without sleep,
Tossed and turned, twisted in my bed,
Over and over a riddled tune passes thru my head,
On the verge of insanity, this riddled tune I hear,
Many a time I've dread what all fear,
But through my eyes, only I can hear,
The voice of death whispers in my ear,
A riddled tune death whispers, the meaning I know, so I fear,
the day draws near, and I shall confront what I fear,
A battle destine to fight, a battle I must win,
A conflict I wish not to partake,
In order to survive, I must keep my dat with fate!

The Light

Out of the depths shined a light,
One which brought with it tranquility and peace,
With eye peering into it a feeling of right,
As it shined all that which is evil will cease,
A feeling brought on to you so warm with it's sight,
Together will come all when eternal day overtakes eternal night.

Them
Three lights shine from above,
inducing feelings of love.
Travelers from a distant time,
to be seen in the proper frame of mind.
Agility and speed, more than they need,
knowledge from us in which they feed.
they mean us no harm, show us no shame,
Each new visit they relieve the pain.
Why are they here, disbelievers do fear,
when the time is right, in their doorway I ...
... will peer.
